After his student attorney internship ended, Mr. Bishop accepted a law clerk position with the Baltimore County Public Defender’s Office – Felony Division, where he assisted their attorneys with trial preparation. After graduating from law school, Mr. Bishop honed his trial skills at The Baltimore County Public Defender’s Office before entering private practice. While with the Public Defenders office, Mr. Bishop recognized a trait that separated the best attorneys from the rest: The attorneys that were prepared AND willing to go to trial got the best results for their clients.
Applying the knowledge he learned, Mr. Bishop went into private practice in early 2012. Mr. Bishop brought the same preparation and willingness to go to trial when he founded Saller & Bishop in September, 2012. Mr. Bishop grew Saller & Bishop into one of the area’s premier criminal defense & personal injury law firms before founding The Bishop Law Group.
Mr. Bishop realized that his true calling in the legal field was to help injured parties after assisting in a catastrophic personal injury involving a family member. During this emotional time, Mr. Bishop decided to focus his law firm’s practice in personal Injury and medical malpractice litigation work.
In October, 2018, Mr. Bishop started The Bishop Law Group with the same mindset he learned when he was a young attorney. This mindset has become one of the core values of The Bishop Law Group.
Mr. Bishop is in active member of Maryland Association of Justice, The American Association of Justice, The Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys. Mr. Bishop has received a nationally ranked Top 40 Under 40 Attorney award since 2017. Mr. Bishop has also been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. The American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys has named Brian Bishop as one of The 10 Best Attorneys for Outstanding Client Services.
During his free time, Mr. Bishop resides in Baltimore City with his wife, Suzanne, and their two dogs, Jackson and Roxy. Mr. Bishop enjoys traveling and staying active by participating with local youth wrestling associations.
